Frequently Asked Questions

How do the monthly payments work?

It’s an automatic monthly subscription that goes out on the same day every month, based on the day you joined. You are not tied in, and if you wish to cancel you can do so anytime. We just need 24 hours notice.

You are locked in on the price you joined at for the length of your membership. If you cancel and wish to rejoin at a later date, the price may have gone up.

How does the annual payment work?

You pay upfront, once, for the entire year and your membership lasts for 12 months. The benefit of this is no monthly outgoings and two months membership for free.

This is a recurring annual payment so you will be charged again in a year for another year’s membership. You will be reminded of this so there’s no surprises. You are welcome to switch to monthly payments after the year is up.

When does the membership start?

As soon as you sign up!

You will be sent an email with login details to the membership site so you can start looking around right away.

I'm gluten free/dairy free/vegan/ vegetarian/have nut allergies/food intolerances. Are the recipes suitable?

We have seperate meal plans to cater for all allergies, intolerances and food preferences.

We also have a library of HUNDREDS of recipes so you will certainly find plenty to eat!

We are also on hand to provide suggestions should you need them.

Are the recipes suitable for children?

We have lots of family-friendly meals. Plenty of our members are mums and feed their kids this food and they have given rave reviews!

How much time will I need to set aside?

The more you put into the membership, the more you will get out of it but it’s very flexible.

In the beginning, you might feel like cooking from scratch and meal planning is taking more time, but it is designed to SAVE you time in the long run.

Ultimately, it’s your journey, and your commitment. You can’t rush health, but equally you need to put some effort in to get the results at the other end!

Is this a diet/diet plan?

Absolutely not. It’s the opposite – it’s about unlearning all the awful habits that dieting promotes.

This is a lifestyle that puts your nourishment first, where we focus on food, wellbeing and mindset. 

What Are The Outcomes From The Program?

The big result we’re working towards is changing the way our clients eat, train and feel long-term; to introduce them to a new, sustainable, and healthy lifestyle. 

While it’s great to have a weight goal, the number on the scale doesn’t always reflect progress. A number of factors impact scale weight – especially for females! This makes other data points, such as body measurements and progress photos, important reference points when gauging progress over time. 

The better your adherence, the better chance you’re going to give your body at losing the most weight – so the key to success is time and adherence!

Depending on where you are starting in your health journey, and your adherence to your program, you may lose anywhere between 500g to 1kg per week.

Why Are We Focusing So Much On Mindset?

90% of weight loss is psychology. Losing weight isn’t the challenge, maintaining the weight loss is the challenge. Psychological changes are key to counteract deeply ingrained, lifelong habits and unwanted eating patterns like overeating, binge eating, obsessive calorie counting, night eating etc.  

We will teach you the importance of calories and macronutrients for your body’s needs, however it’s important to note that weight loss is not all about the numbers – it’s intrinsically connected to our psychology, our emotions, and our beliefs.

How many meal plans do I receive?

You get one, 7 day meal plan per month.

So, when you join, you get access to one meal plan and then another is released at the end of every month.

People often repeat it and use it as the backbone, but sub in different recipes to create variety.

This helps you learn, week after week, to slowly meal plan yourself and understand the principles of this way of life.

When you’ve been in the Brigade for a few months, you’ll have a selection of meal plans to follow for the month if you like to follow them to a tee.

You get one workout plan per month.

So, when you join, you get access to one workout plan and then another is released at the end of every month.

The best way to progress week to week is repeated efforts of the same exercises.  However, if you would like to change your workouts slightly after 4-6 weeks this can be  great so you don’t get bored of the same thing and to stimulate the muscle in a new way.  

It’s always great to keep some of your staple movements in your program and then adding  some new movements from time to time. Simple swaps such as replacing the barbell with  dumbbells for a few weeks is enough to stimulate the muscle in a new way.  

 

What’s your refund policy?

We do not refund the monthly option, however you can simply cancel after the first month.
