In a world filled with diets and trends, what if I told you there’s one skill that could change your weight loss journey forever?
Imagine savouring every bite, feeling satisfied, and shedding those extra kilos naturally.
Listening to our body’s cues for hunger and fullness was as natural as the sun rising in childhood…
But somewhere along the way, we were introduced to a world of diets, restrictions, and body ideals.
Our innate ability to listen to our bodies became clouded by the noise of external expectations.
But what if I told you we could reclaim that lost connection? What if we could rediscover the art of mindful eating?
It’s time to master the art of listening to your hunger and fullness.
If you embark on this journey then you will change your relationship with food forever.
You’re not alone if you struggle with fad diets and restrictions, I’ve been there too. But what I’ve realised that the secret to lasting weight loss lies within me.
By mastering the skill of listening to my hunger and fullness, I am taking control of my health. It’s not about restriction. It’s about embracing nourishment and joy.
Hunger/Fullness Scale
Before and after each meal rate your hunger/fullness on a scale from:
-
Starving/famished
-
Weak, headache, cranky, low energy
-
Want to eat now, stomach growls and/or feels empty
-
Hungry, but could wait to eat, starting to feel empty
-
Not hungry, full
-
Feeling satisfied, stomach feels full and comfortable
-
Feeling full, certainly don’t need any more food
-
Uncomfortably full
-
Stuffed, very uncomfortable
-
Bursting, painfully full
Aim to start mainly between a 3 or 4 and stop around a 5 or 6. When you start eating at around a 3 or 4 you are much more in control, much more able to make rational choices around food. This scale will help prevent you from becoming ravenous and eating to satisfy your hunger.
If you would like support with this, this is exactly what I support clients through in my 1 on 1 coaching programs.
Remember, your body is your guide on this journey to wellness.
