3 Hacks To Make Exercise Feel EASY!

When are we ever feeling 100%?! Usually, works takes over leaving us with a 20 minute window to workout… or our kids have endless commitments which means there is zero energy left for “me time”.
Here are three practical hacks to keep you fired up and loving every minute of your workouts:
1. Be grateful that you get to move your body
Change your mindset from “I have to exercise” to “I get to exercise”.
If you have the ability to workout, dance, run, or even just walk, you’ve got a valuable opportunity that is easy to take for granted.
A healthy body that you can move daily is a privilege.
I guarantee that no matter how you feel about your body, there are people out there who can only dream of being as physically able as you are to move and get stronger.
This mindset shift has pulled me through many workouts, including this one!
2. The 2 minute rule: Just start.
When you start a new habit it should take 2 mins or less. Make it as easy as possible to start.
Make yourself a promise that if you’re still not motivated after 2 mins, fine you can stop and go home. You will have done 2 minutes more than nothing.
But 90% of the time you’ll have got the endorphins flowing, be in the flow and happy to continue!
Eg. Your goal might be to run 5k, but your gateway habit is to run for two minutes.
Eg. Your goal is to weight train for 45 minutes, but your gateway habit is to do one push up.
3. Review if you’re trying to do too much
Less is more… 3 sessions where you show up and give your all are better than 5 sessions where you don’t give 100% or you give too much but then miss a couple of days because you’re burned out.
Recovery is just as important as the workout itself so plan for a schedule that allows you to give each workout your all – without draining yourself completely!
3 workouts a week is a great place for most people to start and you can see incredible results still if you combine this with the right nutrition and healthy habits.
