Baked Bean Jaffles
A quick, budget-friendly emergency meal made from pantry staples. These jaffles are satisfying, comforting and ready in minutes.

- 2 slices bread
- 1/2 can baked beans
- 1/4 cup grated cheese
- 1 handful baby spinach roughly chopped
- ¼ small red onion finely diced
- Butter for the outside of the bread
Preheat your jaffle maker or sandwich press.
In a small bowl, combine the baked beans, spinach and diced red onion.
Butter the outside of each slice of bread.
Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, into the jaffle maker.
Sprinkle a little grated cheese over each slice, then spoon on the baked bean mixture.
Top with the remaining cheese before placing the remaining bread slices on top, butter-side up.
Close the jaffle maker and cook for 4–6 minutes, or until the bread is golden and crisp and the cheese has melted. Enjoy!
