Anzac Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 125 g butter
  • 2 tbsp pure honey
  • 2 tbsp boiling water
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 160°C fan (or 180°C conventional).
  • Mix dry ingredients.
  • Melt butter + honey.
  • Combine, add boiling water, mix well.
  • Roll, flatten.
  • Bake 10–15 mins (depending if you like them chewy or crunchy!).
  • Cool & enjoy!

UPF-Friendly Swaps
To keep this recipe closer to minimally processed foods, choose:
  • Traditional rolled oats rather than flavoured or instant oat sachets.
  • Unsweetened shredded coconut with no added sugars or preservatives.
  • Butter made from cream and salt only.
  • Pure honey instead of honey-flavoured syrups.
  • Self-raising flour with a short ingredient list (wheat and simple raising agents)
