Many people underestimate the time needed to form habits—it can take anywhere from 18 to 254 days. I firmly believe in taking a long-term approach.

There’s no need to feel discouraged if a habit doesn’t stick after a few months; after all, it’s supposed to take time. Don’t judge yourself if you can’t perfect a behavior in just 21 days. Instead, embrace imperfection.

Furthermore, I advocate for embracing balance. Diets often create a cycle of feeling like a failure—whether ‘being good’ or ‘off the wagon,’ leading to guilt, loss of control, and self-loathing. It’s a constant battle of willpower, unfairly blaming oneself for perceived weakness (hint: you’re not).
