Pepper Beef Steak Bánh Mì

Ingredients
- 400g sizzle steak, sliced
- 2 Tbs light soy sauce
- 1 Tbs lime juice
- 1 Tbs honey
- Black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 Tbs rice wine vinegar
- 4 banh mi rolls
- 1 carrot, thinly sliced
- 80g cucumber, thinly sliced
- 2 spring onions, thinly sliced
- 40g kewpie mayonnaise
- 5g sriracha
Method
- Preheat oven to 175°C. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, lime juice, honey, black pepper, garlic, and rice wine vinegar. Add the sliced beef and mix until well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 1 hour for more flavour).
- Heat a non-stick fry pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until just cooked through. Remove the beef from the heat and set aside.
- Warm the rolls in the oven at 175°C for 5 minutes until crispy on the outside and soft inside. Slice them open lengthwise.
- In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and sriracha. Spread over the rolls. Top with cucumber, carrot and beef. Enjoy!
