New & Exciting
When’s the last time you did something for the first time?
Eaten a new food, tried something you’ve never tried before, listened to a different genre of music?
Although I’m a HUGE fan of creating healthy habits, I also know that doing the same things over and over again can start to feel mundane and monotonous.
Research shows that doing something different can increase your sense of well-being!
We feel safe in our routines and doing something different can feel a little uncomfortable at the beginning.
So, start with something really small – like walk a different track to your usual one, go grocery shopping at a different supermarket, or simply listen to a different radio station.
I encourage you to try just ONE new thing this week.
Expanding your behavioural repertoire does wonders for your brain and you never know, you might start discovering new things that you love doing!
