Cajun Steak & Potatoes
Spicy Cajun Steak with Roasted Potatoes.
THE RECIPE
Serves: 4
- Preparation Time: 15 minutes
- Cooking Time: 25-30 minutes
Ingredients
- 800g potatoes, cubed
- 4 tsp paprika
- 4 tsp cajun seasoning
- 4 tsp garlic powder
- extra virgin olive oil spray
- 500g rump steak
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 240ml beef stock
- 200ml light thickened cream (Use dairy-free cream for dairy-free)
- 20g parmesan
- 1 bunch broccolini
- Parsley, to serve

Method –
- Preheat the oven (or air fryer) to 200 degrees Celsius. Add the potatoes to a lined baking tray and top with 2 tsp paprika, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and spray with olive oil. Cook in the oven (or air fryer) for about 20 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
- Meanwhile, season the steak with 2 tsp paprika, Cajun seasoning, and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper, and spray with olive oil. Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 1.5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking. Remove from heat and let it rest. Once rested, slice into strips.
- To the same pan, add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds. Add the beef stock and cream, and simmer for about 5 minutes or until slightly thickened. Stir through the Parmesan.
- Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Add the broccolini and cook for 5 minutes. Drain.
- Serve the potatoes topped with steak, pour over the sauce, and sprinkle with parsley. Serve with broccolini. Enjoy!
